Owned and operated by Lauren and Peter Uitermark since 2009, the motel has long been known for its warm, down-to-earth hospitality and relaxed atmosphere. We’re a genuinely local business, with owner-operators who care deeply about every guest who walks through the door.

For the past eight years, Lauren and Peter proudly partnered with the New Zealand Government and The Salvation Army to assist those in need – helping homeless individuals transition into longer-term, stable accommodation. This was a chapter filled with purpose, compassion, and a lot of hard work behind the scenes.

Now, with that mission fulfilled, they’re turning their focus back to what started it all: welcoming travellers.
